Top 50 new releases found in 2005 HOME
Year after year I'm losing track with the 'contemporary' artists. That's why more than half of these Top 50 releases are compilation albums. Also 20 CD only releases which is a bad indication as well. More and more small labels are simply not strong enough anymore to finance vinyl releases. And certainly the release of my favourite size, the 7", has become a rarity in 2005. Only one 45 is featured in this year's list. More than 10 countries are listed and more than 40 different record labels have given at least one great release.
